Treat yourself to a cup of this frothy hot chocolate with a fragrant touch of speculaaskruiden. It is especially delicious topped with freshly whipped cream, and for a little festive 'oomph' you can even add in a splash of rum!
- 4 cups whole milk
- 4 tbsps cocoa powder
- 4 tbsps sugar
- ¾ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp speculaaskruiden
- Whipped cream and/or rum, if desired
- Place all the ingredients (except the whipped cream and rum) in a blender and mix till frothy.
- Gently heat without boiling.
- Add the rum and top with whipped cream, if desired.
